Since January 2006
Intelligent Garbage Disposal N.V. (IGD N.V.) started in the waste management industry since January 2006. In 2013 we had to expand our operations because of the oil and gas companies that touched down in our country.

- For the services we cannot provide, we work with sub-contractors. Cooperation is very important in a developing country like Suriname.
- Recyclables such as plastic, will be picked up by us and delivered to the local recycling company for that type of waste. This process is also monitored on paper.

We discharge all waste from the ships that dock at the port incl. bildge waterdisposal aswell as plastic, food wastes, domestic wastes, carton & paper, rags, glass, cans, crockery, cooking oil, incinerator ashes, operational wastes, e-waste, etc.
Petronas and Apache
Our company handled all waste from the oil drilling projects
Staatsolie Suriname
We did tankcleaning jobs handling Nafta.
Surmac
Waste oil collection, oil rags, light bulbs -SEMC, waste oil collection.
Sound Oceanics
This company did sonar research offshore for the oil companies. We managed all waste streams for them in Nickerie, Boskamp, Paramaribo, Moengo and Albina. We did pit cleaning, remediation of contaminated soils and consulting work.

Tank cleaning for the ships Sentinel 1 and 2. (bauxite cargo ships)
Asco
We were the official contractor of ASCO which is an international waste management company based in England. They won the tender for the oil platforms such as Tullow oil who did the drilling work offshore. In Suriname we are responsible for all the activities of ASCO.
